Independent Auto Insurance Agents

Independent Insurance Agents sell one or more types of insurance, such as property and casualty, life, health, disability, and long-term care.  A Property and Casualty Agent sells policies that protect individuals and businesses from financial loss resulting from automobile accidents, fire, theft, storms, and other events that can damage property.

Unlike a Captive Agent who represents a single Insurance Company, an Independent Agent often represents a number of different Insurance Companies.  An Independent Agent attempts to match each customer’s special needs to the appropriate Insurance provider.
