What are the coverage components of an auto insurance policy?
There are essentially six components to an auto insurance policy. Each component is priced separately. These components are Bodily Injury Liability, Personal Injury Protection (PIP)/First party Benefits, Property Damage Liability, Collision, Comprehensive, and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist.
Bodily Injury Liability
Bodily Injury Liability protection covers the insured for costs associated with injuries that they cause to someone else.

PIP/First Party Benefits protection covers the insured for costs related to injuries to the driver and passengers suffered during an accident involving the policyholder’s car.
